RAHUL GANDHI HAS
EMERGED AS A LEADER
One really can predict the outcome of Gujarat Assembly
Elections held recently as the BJP has used all its resources under its belt to
beat the tsunami that emerged of the
Congress who has aligned with the pattadar leader ship was definitely a highlight
of this election. BJP might have won the
election not without some collateral damage in their vote share vis-à-vis the
last election.
What is quite fascinating is the emergence of Rahul Gandhi
as mass leader and it was a right decision for the Congress to appoint him as
their Party President. While it might have been a foregone conclusion that he
will one day become the party president, the timing of his elevation is just
right. I personally feel that he has worked his way to the top. His aggressive posturing and taking the
opposition to task, his many jab at the Prime Minister NARENDRA MODI has been note worthy, for he is evolving
himself as a mass leader.
I think there has been a makeover in him since the last lok sabha
elections. Even though the aggression should have been his inborn and hereditary
traits, as his great grandfather and grandmother personified aggression in
their times. His father too was also very strong and brave at times. It is natural he should have inherited these
qualities from them. But truly speaking no he did not have any of these qualities
when he entered in politics. All his aggressive posturing that he is exhibiting
today is the byproduct of his learning over the years. A glimpse at at his
Initial years would tell the story. He was very docile and took many years for him
to utter a word in the parliament. He was even childish at times and lacked
tact in dealing with people and press.
He once told the media that he would have become the Prime Minister of
India when he was 25 years old if he wanted to. Not even knowing there is a age
criteria for one to become a PM of this August Republic!
it took the senior
congress leader to defend him stating he
was quoted out of context. This was not the only incidence but there are many
faux paus that he attempted! At times he spoke against the party line, not that
he defied the party line, but by not knowing what his party line was? He was just ignorant not suitable for politics
at all. I can qualify my statement by giving various other instances of his
utterance of absolute nonsense. Many cartoons have reflected his varying
behavior and personality at that point of time in so many different ways.
Here we must say it has not been easy for Rahul Gandh either
as it was for Indira or Rajeev. He was neither
as smart or charismatic as Indira or Rajeev
. His entry as a most reluctant
entrant to the field of politics at a very young age .The congress party not having the requisite number
propelled people like Manmohan Singh for
the high post of the premier and did not want to risk with a youngster like
Rahul taking on the mantle because they were not sure of him and did not want
to test waters like the way they did in
his father’s case. Because then they were sure of Rajeev and his charisma. As such
we can say Rahul has really worked his way by understanding the politics under
the steward ship of Manmohan Singh and others during congress regime. Thereafter he has been in the opposition. We
must admit that he did not aspire for any ministerial position like his
grandmother who was Information & Broadcasting Minister under Lalbhadur
Sashtri. I would say he has been a keen
learner and has kept his ambition under wraps as otherwise he could had enough
powers during Congress rule and could
have ruled India through a proxy like Manmohan Singh. At times as any youngster
he did go overboard in criticizing his own Prime Minister! This is but natural.
When we look at children of even corporaters and MLA running parallel government asking IAS
officer and Government authorities by
giving direct orders. He was far
more balanced and non interfering type.
This quality needs to be
understood and appreciated.
Finally I strongly feel he must be given a chance to rule
this country not because he is from the Gandhi kandaan but more by his own
right, as a politician who has worked really hard for the party in the polls at
most crucial stage, when the party was out of power in most states except in
Karnataka and few states. He is now has taken over as President of Indian
National Congress which I am sure will emerge successful and stronger under his leader ship or with
other parties supporting it. He is the ideal candidate for the premier ship of
India.
Having said all this, the next two years or so will be very
crucial for him to carefully plan for the big election and nurture the party
and make it battle ready by bringing in some quorum within the party platform
and promoting local leadership at districts level. Infusing young blood and
sending the veterans home gracefully, unlike what the BJP done with their
senior party member. They has dumped the
veterans into the oblivion which has deprived party and the government of their
valuable advises as the present including the Mr.Narendara Modi lacks experience of handling the central
government save and except , Sushma Swaraj, Jaitley and few others all the rest
as as good as a new entrant. This is the sole reason for the government to go
astray and many of their bills being returned.
Finally let us look forward to another rising son from the
Gandhi Family take on the mantle and become our leader. It is time for us to send the BJP to the place
they belong to. BJP whose policy is for the rich, by the rich, and of the rich,
deserves a marching order. For we don’t want our Children, our Parents and finally our own
self to stand on queues, to en-cash our
hard earned money. While the black marketer’s makes merry by saying Happy
Demonetization. We also don’t want a financial emergency imposed on us by the
Banks, where a depositor has to strip himself to explain where he has got the
funds from to make a basic deposit, while Industrialist like Ambanis and their
likes, enjoy themselves at the Lutens along with Modi & Company. While we definitely need
a change and review of our old policies to keep breast with the changing times but we don’t want
changes that will change the very course of India’s policies which was carefully
formulated by the founding fathers of our constitution and carried on by
equally able leaders from time to time.
Look at “Non Alignment, Equi
distance with the two superpower” which
are phonemically futuristic and this basic aspects are being tampered with by
the present dispensation which doesn’t augur well for future of India. Let us
all remember that” We are a democracy and would like to be one in future too”. So
let us say Bye Bye to the BJP….Adieu
Congress under Rahul’ Gandhi.
